When the Nth QLD Cowboys played the Gold Coast Titans at Barlow Park in Cairns on Feb 26th we were in the middle of a fortnight-long downpour. The monsoon rains had certainly hit, and not only were we being inundated from above, but there was also so much accumulated ground water that you could’ve staged a heat of the Olympic synchronised swimming competition. (thanks to the aftereffects of a little cyclone called Yasi)
But….we never let a little rain spoil our fun and the show had to go on, so the boys did a quick shopping trip, bought enough tarp to transport a blue whale and got stuck into installing the HK system.
According to the boys - ‘once you’re wet you can’t really get any wetter’ - but I did notice a little extra webbing growing between their toes when they got back to work on Monday. :-)
